Our client is a world leading player in in the wind energy sector. Due to their continuing market success they need to expand their planning department and are seeking to fill

the position of

planning engineer (m/f)



The planning engineer is responsible for the assurance of availability of all necessary equipment for the successful execution of  wind farm construction projects.



  • plan, allocate and control all required resources that are needed for an optimal execution of all construction projects in Europe
  • assure, that the right equipment is available on all construction sites in the best timely way, in the best configuration and at optimal quality and costs
  • set up a long term resource demand and capacity plan
  • preparation of method statements and all technical documentation required for the planned works
  • liaise with all internal stakeholders to secure smooth execution of projects
  • liaise with subcontractors to secure an optimal planning
  • analyze project progress and prepare mitigation plans when delays, setbacks or capacity problems occur
  • manage and decide on resource issues in the planning and execution phase and, if needed, initiate all counteractions needed
  • pass on experiences to procurement department to optimize agreements with suppliers
  • pass on experiences to quality department to optimize quality in project processes and supplier quality
  • report to project management on regular basis
  • track progress of project and monitor and mitigate risk
  • manage processes to improve construction execution onsite




  • an engineering degree
  • at least 3 years of experience in planning in large construction contracts, of which at least 1 year in the wind energy sector
  • fit  in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis
  • skilled in oral and written communication (English language) and presentations of schedule materials
  • strong analytical skills
  • demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision
  • strong relationship builder with internal and external stakeholders
  • fit in overseeing impact of decisions on project processes and financials
  • strong computer skills
  • fluent in English and German
