International Head of Operations & Concessions

(Domestic base flexible)

Our client is a leading international supplier of fashion jewellery, this includes jewellery ranges found in concessions in department stores, supermarkets and fashion retailers internationally. This makes our client one of the largest international suppliers of fashion jewellery and accessories.

They are presently looking for a dynamic International Head of Operations and Concessions to join their global team. Reporting to the Chief Sales Offices they will be responsible for development, alignment of Operations and Sales Strategy/Targets for the Concessions Group wide. The will ensure strategy execution and targets achievement through the full network and manage all dimensions enabling best in class service and partners satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-develop with the Board the Strategy, Operative Planning & Targets for Europe & NA Concessions
  • Ensure alignment and consistency with Value Chain and Key Account Management
  • Ensure translation into Operations & Sales Operative Planning & RoadMap 
  • Operations & Sales Management In close cooperation with Value Chain, Key Account Management and Support Functions (HR/FICO):
  • Ensure development of proper reporting tools and KPIs to monitor execution and results through all network
  • KPIs - Gsls / LfL / € per pos / Staff & Management Costs / Productivity / OPEX KPIs / HR KPIs
  • Talent Management In close cooperation with HR
  • Partner Management In close cooperation with KAM
  • Ensure Business Partners satisfaction and retention through best in class service and field cooperation
  • Support Expansion and Acquisition of new Business Partners & Support Market Intelligence
  • Processes & Interfaces Management Through the Operations & Sales Support Office:
  • Define and monitor  Operations and Sales projects, process and tools enabling the achievement of service quality standards through all network
  • Ensure permanent optimisation through regular field audit and innovative actions
  • Ensure coordination between Value Chain, Partner Management and Operations
  • Co-develop and steer with the Board the Project Portfolio for Europe & NA Concessions
  • Contribute to strategic projects development and implementation supporting Group PMO

Personal requirements:

  • Master degree in Business Administration or equivilant
  • 10 years in Sales & Operations management executive role in Retail/Distribution/Service
  • Minimum 8 years of people management experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in International/Multicultural environment
  • Strong knowledge of fast moving business : Fashion, Beauty, Fast Food, Hospitality,
  • Competencies  - Leadership & Talent Development, Drive for results, Accountability, Strategic thinking, Customer Centricity
  • Skills - English (fluent), German (nice to have), Advanced Negotiation skills, Advanced Communication skills, MS Office

Physical requirements

  • 80% Travel time  - EU and International
  • 20% Home Office or Head Office if based in Cologne Germany
