Your responsibilities:

The role is part of a new client solution group dedicated to helping manufacturers and retailers make smarter investments in price, promotion, assortment, and more. Main target markets are manufacturers and retailers in durable consumer goods and consumer technology sectors.

As a Product Director you will be responsible for a software product called Perfect eStore, you will identify what "Perfect e-store" solution(s) the company should bring to market, introduce them to the market (self-built or through partnership/acquisition), and drive the commercial success.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Understand clients' pain points and how they are currently being addressed by the company and its competitors
  • Prioritize the pain points the company should address
  • Assess the best approach to address these pain points to create sustainable differentiation and P&L success: build, buy or partner
  • Create solution business plan:
  • Identify targeted user and buyer: roles, regions, client segments
  • Assess relevant competition positioning plan
  • Be responsible Pricing and costing, the region/feature/category scope roll-out plan as well as the revenue and profit plan: by country, by category, by client segment
  • Manage the launch solution: define timing, build marketing material, train regions, support regions on the ground where needed
  • Manage solution: track sales and profit performance against target, continuously work towards sales and profit improvement, collect input for potential solution upgrades



Your Profile:

  • An intimate knowledge of how manufacturers and/or retailers make decisions to impact part of - or even better! - the whole e-commerce journey
  • You either:
    • Worked as a product manager in a relevant e-store service provider to   manufacturers or retailers
    • Worked at a manufacturer or retailer making or influencing decisions to optimize the e-commerce journey to drive sales
  • Experience in Digital focus industries: Durables/Technology and/or Retail and/or FMCG
  • Experience in engaging with senior internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Track record in digital product development and management
  • A leader: you can articulate a vision and get a team to work hard towards it
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on approach
  • Passion for analytics, data modelling and data visualizations
  • Ability to identify client pain points and ruthlessly prioritize them via market and competition assessment
  • Strong understanding of technology-driven end-to-end solutions in market research and adjacent areas
  • Ability to identify and focus on ideas that will yield the most success; this also means ability to say no to other 'good' ideas
  • Ability to translate complex information into intuitive client-facing solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client-facing skills in English, German language skills an added advantage.
