Business Development Manager (OIL & GAS, MINING)

Job Description

Is responsible for providing strategic leadership in establishing the goals, strategies, plans, and policies and sell to enter the mining, oil and gas market with emphasis on:

  • Oversee and participate in development and research activities involving building on company strengths, identifying key players and business opportunities, increasing share of market, and obtaining a competitive position in the industry
  • Will develop, build, and maintain relationships with executives in key companies in target industries and markets
  • Will create and maintain relationships with key executives in architectural, specification, dealership, and design firms that deal in target markets
  • Will research available information to find potential accounts in both retrofit and new development projects
  • Will coordinate with the Company’s Sales and Business Development staff in the regions to find leads and close sales (This is a key assignment)
  • Responsible for the strategies of prices, sales, marketing, advertising, and profitability of specific products for the market segment
  •  responsible for promoting the company’s products, services, and solutions with an initial emphasis on selling to the mining, oil & gas sector in the Ghana
  • Responsible for leading and handling negotiations with key accounts, including master agreements where applicable
  • Will maintain memberships in relevant trade associations and attend meetings for networking and exhibiting relevant products and systems, and follow up to achieve sales
  • Insure that all member benefits of associations are used to maximize networking and promotional efforts
  • Understand the specific needs of the mining, oil & gas industry and relate features and benefits of solutions to them
  • Will arrange to create promotional material in print and electronically tailored to the segment
  • Will direct Marketing promotions and awareness to the industry
  • Perform presentations to potential accounts and other service providers
  • Ensure that existing and potential accounts are kept informed and educated about the latest solutions, products, and services provided by the Company
  • Establish leads through available resources
  • Responsible for coordinating potential account activities
  • Coordinate with Customer Support and Technical Support to insure that all service and technical issues are resolved in an accelerated manner due to the increased physical needs of the end user and the care-giving components of this industry
  • Manage the budgeting process for budgeting for the marketing and sales activities to this industry
  • Responsible for informing management of the major happenings and relevant trends
  • Proactively gathers business intelligence and information regarding potential competitors, contracts, etc. of global key accounts
  • Define sales strategy including sales channel
