With an impressive presence extending to more than 175 locations worldwide, our Client, a global leading  producer of industrial minerals and a distributor of specialty chemicals, is seeking for their team a:

Head of Market (Balkans, Russia, Turkey)

The ideal candidate would be responsible of acquiring of all market and technical facts and figures, relevant to Agriculture and Forestry (market intelligence), initiate and manage innovation and NBD activities in the region (Balkan countries, Russia & Turkey), drive growth of new products, ensure regional availability of new products, actively searching for new business opportunities incl. M&A and distribution.


Role & Responsibilities:

•Follow Innovation Process steps: Drive regional specific adaptation of new products, Coordinate pilot/scale-up activities in the region, Manage target customer validations, Assess regional specific value pricing

•Develop and entertain external network for technical and market intelligence & Data management

•Identify new business opportunities in Agriculture and Forestry in the Area and translate into action

•Provide guidelines, brochures & training to the Sales department

•Promote externally new products in the region (active participation in trade shows and conferences)

•Link global segment functions with key customers, trade associations, NGO’s & academia

•Interface with Production and Supply Chain to ensure regional availability of new products

•Interface with patent department & product regulatory to ensure legal compliance for new products

•Coordinate meetings under the leadership of the regional VP MDI and advocate segment specific needs

•Deliver proposals for new business opportunities or existing products to the global BD, escalate issues and conflicts to the segment head

•Implement segment specific strategies and new business initiatives in the region upon received directives •Determine value pricing, manage customer validation and drive roll-out of new products


Desired Skills and Experience:

•Academic degree in Agriculture or equivalent education is a must

•Minimum 8 years of relevant business experience

•Experience in multinational company will be a must

•Strong entrepreneurial spirit & demonstrated success in Business Development

•Project Management skills & proven track record of successful execution of complex projects

•Proven effective communication with individuals from a range of backgrounds and at all levels.

•Extensive travelling will be required
