Job Description

Production Manager

Our client is a Multinational Company and one of the world's largest manufacturers. They are expert in their field and they demonstrate a presence in more than 38 countries, over 24.000 employees and sales exceeding €6.1 billion/year.

§ Location : Sterea Ellada, Relocation required

§ Supervisor : Plant Manager


§ Direct report to Plant Manager

§ Member of the Plant Management team § Key Interfaces:

o Sales

o Technical Department

o Supply Chain Department o Purchasing Department

o Financial Department

o Group’s Production Managers (U&O and D&I) o Corporate Industrial Management (CIM)

o Group’s Research Centres (NRC) for projects development


  § The Production Manager designs and monitors the production plan in line with objectives in quantity, quality,     costs and deadlines, in respect of People and Customers

§ He is responsible for the safety rules enforcement

§ He manages the production teams

§ He is directly managed by the Plant Manager

§ Designs the site’s cross-training policy

§ Is involved in the investment policy of the plant

§ Manages competencies and talent development

§ Leads training sessions for the plant people


Monitoring of production & Performance

§ Monitors the plant production schedule

§ Manages the resources for the production plan

§ Designs, monitors an action plan and a planning to reach the industrial and financial performance objectives of his perimeter

§ Sets realistic objectives to his teams

§ Identifies and monitors financial and performance indicators (KPI)

§ Gives feedback on performance objectives to his teams


Application of standards

§ Ensures the necessary vigilance to the application of production standards


Continuous improvement

§ Performs problem solving analysis using complex tools and methods (statistics)

§ Improves standards

§ Manages innovation projects

§ Analyzes effective progresses and gives feedback to key people

§ Conducts benchmark to identify new solutions

§ Identifies new ideas for process/product improvement within his perimeter

§ Evaluates the potential solutions

§ Makes sure all alternatives are analyzed

§ Supervises the set-up of the solution/corrective action


Customer satisfaction

§ Makes people aware of customers’ expectations

§ Identifies improvement points in customer service

§ Promotes the work done by teams during clients visits


Team work

§ Creates conditions and proposes solutions to set up and maintain autonomous teams

§ Checks complementarity within and between the teams

§ Ensures the production continuity of the plant

§ Provides tools and resources to the teams to ensure production continuity

§ Safety (LTI, FAC, MTI), HS&E evaluation grid

§ Scrap, overusage

§ OEE in bottlenecks, breakdown ratio, productivity, Quality claims product

§ Inventory coverage total, Inventory coverage RM, WIPs

§ Manufacturing variances

§ Working capital: Inventory coverage total, Inventory coverage RM, WIPs.

§ Savings Plan

§ Customers KPIs: PCA, OTIF, NC’s customer, Lead time reduction, throughput times

§ Successful product – services launch or homologations

§ Customer satisfaction feedback from visits, surveys, awards

§ People development through competency model deployment (Succession plans, expertise, mobility) § NEW evaluation grid and dashboard

Required qualifications & competencies

§ General Education: 4 to 5 years at university in engineering domain

§ Experience: 5 years at least in an operational position in a plant including project management

§ Fluent (in writing and speaking) in Greek and English language

§ Production planning and monitoring

§ Continuous improvement

§ Maintain and optimize impact of cross-trained flexible team

§ Deployment and monitoring of key indicators

§ Formalization and transmission of know-how
