Supplier Quality Engineer
The SQ Engineer is responsible to drive systematic and continuous supplier quality assurance being part of a small local team, reporting directly to Regional SQA Manager. Additionally, the job holder would be in charge for activities related to quality improvements, PQP at suppliers, follow-up on activities related to quality.
a) Define and communicate quality requirements for production and production start-ups;
b) Initiate and check corrective quality measures at our suppliers related to known/potential quality challenges on our products;
c) Define quality requirement and tools in local production (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, IQC-level, SPC-level, FQC, etc.);
d) Participate/support project with approval of production and parts;
e) Monitor product quality in the market, actively take part in Supplier selection and part approval process;
f) Conduct routine process audits at key local suppliers’ manufacturing sites to ensure conformance;
g) Identify possible quality risks, continuous improvement opportunities, provide coaching on quality best practices, verify effectiveness of corrective actions and assist in the resolution of quality problems;
h) Ensure process and quality control plans are in place across the supply chain, following up outgoing quality control and incoming quality control;
i) Support introduction of new products into existing and new suppliers as required;
j) Review designs for manufacturability and ability to meet quality targets;
k) Collaborate with and influence product development project teams to design for quality, manufacturing and reliability;
l) Work with engineering to permanently solve technical supplier quality related problems.
a) Relevant degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience within production/quality assurance in production;
b) Good knowledge of quality planning;
c) Knowledge of problem resolution/ root cause analysis (8D etc.);
d) Experience in quality engineering and process/manufacturing engineering;
e) Hands-on production experience in plastic injection molding;
f) Business language is English;
g) Competent in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
h) Competence in relevant ERP system, documentation system;
i) Independent, must be able to "represent alone".
