Leader - Product Management (Hyperlocal)
Hyperlocal , in the context of retail, is trying to build a solution for clusters of certain size in India wherein it enables a consumer and a local seller together for a retail transaction. This transaction has to drive an experience with convenience, better value, reliability and best possible selection.
The capability enables following businesses:
- Grocery (Staples & FMCG)
- Fresh: Fruits and Vegetables; Dairy and Meat
- Retail Convenience (2 hours delivery of all relevant categories)
- New Businesses : Pharma, Hot Food Delivery
Hyperlocal is a team incubated inside with a sharp objective of building a robust capability as a service to enable local selection to consumers at best possible speed while optimizing for cost. Customer Obsession is going to be the special ingredient which will define success in this team. The speed to market is of importance here and values of Bias For Action and Audacity will be first citizens. Failing multiple times will be a norm but doing new experiments on a daily basis will be a “must have”.

- Build India’s most reliable Express Fulfilment Service for Delivery & Services through continuous platformization
- Ensure top-of-mind brand recall through differentiation and innovation of services & capabilities
- Build a network of efficient sellers which will enable the right service levels
- Design a network with infrastructure which will enable the Express Delivery promise at optimal costs
- Solve for selection availability and also fill-rates for a cart
- Use technology (read: AI ML) to solve for productivity and demand shaping
- Build tech solves to drive stickiness for FEs to Hyperlocal platform

- This role is for a Leader of Product for the Hyperlocal as service on the platform (across all channels : app, mobile web and desktop web)
- It entails complete ownership of the strategy and roadmap spanning across supply chain, seller management, discovery and demand/supply shaping
- Build the product strategy and product roadmap for the functional charter/feature in line with Hyperlocal goals and strategies.
- Initiate and prioritize projects, and take the lead when determining the best implementation methods.
- The owner of this mandate is responsible to manage all aspects of this experience throughout its lifecycle, including product strategy development, customer insights/needs, and requirements definition
- It also needs to partner with the business leaders to define and drive substantial parts of the customer experience for the respective categories.
- You would also manage a high-performing team, and would need to coach, guide mentor them to build a truly delightful and seamless experience

- Above 12 years of experience, demonstrating management of tasks, resolution of problems and issues and experience in implementing action plans to meet objectives. Equally comfortable in generating a 3-year strategic vision and a weekly status update.
- A track record of BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent acknowledgement of your academic accomplishments
