The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical system design, working knowledge of range of materials and properties, and excellent grasp of manufacturing processes and mechatronic systems.
S/he should enjoy problem solving, both independently and in team and should enjoy brainstorming. Further, this candidate should be familiar with the start-up environment and the associated hours, deadlines and high-energy culture that go with launching innovative new products.
Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept level to production including CAD designing, prototyping, validation, testing and certification
Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Mechanical Designs
Involve in R&D for constantly improving the performance, reliability and life cycle of our products
Active participation in production and reliability tests of new hardware systems
Documentation of functional specifications, verification plans, and test procedures
On-site inspection of systems at vendor’s’ shop floor and enhance vendor development
Support Production, Installation and Service Department staff when necessary to solve problems encountered during lifecycle of product
Review Technical User’s Manuals when needed to ensure equipment specifications, setup instructions, operating instructions, etc
Travel on an occasional basis, both domestically and internationally, to support the installation team
Qualifications & Skill set required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering) with 2-4 yrs of experience.
Thorough understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in mechanical engineering
Worked on practical projects in which you have built/contributed to the project
Knowledge of materials and material properties
Extensive experience with 3D mechanical design and associated CAD software applications such as Solid Works, Inventor and Pro Engineer
