Head Procurement for a Leading Company in Kanpur

Looking for a candidate with 15-20 years of experience and ready to relocate to Kanpur

Major Responsibilites

  • Assistance in Procurement of technologies in Projects
  • Develop Long term relations with Vendors
  • Optimize Inventory levels & reduce number of transactions
  • Use Modern Trade methods to increase Credit terms
  • Improve On time Delivery of suppliers
  • Reduce Rejections of Purchased Items
  • Move to comparison-based decisions to costing based decisions with Vendors for Major items
  • Develop the Systems required in Inhouse ERP for practising the flow required
  • Vendor Development
  • Make and Align the right procurement process
  • Drive Purchase costs down:
    • Material
    • Multiple Vendor
    • Engineering
    • Substitution of other products
  • Raw material; packing material – Inventory control
  • Purchase decisions related to Spares, consumables and Engineering Capital Goods
