Business Consultant

Job Description

Based in Sandton the Job Description will be:

1. Financial
• Manage relationship between business and finance
• General ledger subsystem verification/management
• Variance analysis (GWP, Claims, Expenses, etc.)
• Assist in preparing the budgets and forecasts
• Recon management (Bank recon, etc)
• Preparation of the flash reports

2. Non-Financial
• Dashboards (including management, analysis and interpretation of data)
• Preparation of broker stats and analysis
• GWP and claims analysis, etc.
• Unpacking key business metrics, claims ratio’s, new business analysis, client churn analysis, working capital management, etc.)
• Provide industry and competitor analysis

3. Regulatory
• Preparing the relevant regulatory/statutary returns/information. (FSB requirements, Facultative reinsurance etc.)
• Coordinating and assisting with audit queries

4. Ad hoc
• Assist in projects, eg. assist in system implementations etc.
• Preparation of relevant information/analysis to advise management that will influence strategic decision making

BCom. qualification or equivalent
3 years in insurance finance/ reporting/ analysis experience or similar position

• Good Interpersonal skills and a team player
