About the Role:

A leading insurer based in Johannesburg is looking for an Underwriting Administration Supervisor (Dual role) with a minimum of 5 years commercial insurance underwriting experience.  The incumbent will be responsible to oversee and deliver efficient administration services for customers and colleagues

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / grade 12 or equivalent
  • FAIS accreditation – Full qualification and RE5
  • A suitable post qualification will be an added advantage
  • Computer Literate:  MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous administration supervisory experience required
  • Experience in insurance industry administrative processing
  • Minimum of 5 years Commercial Insurance Underwriting Experience

Job Description

  • Manage all aspects of International and Local programmes for all lines of business at company
  • Handle the administration team’s workflow and distribution of incoming work, as well as liaising with both internal and external clients on progress
  • Critically and continuously evaluate the team’s workflow for efficiencies and fair work distribution
  • Oversee the SASRIA administration and monthly reports
  • Arrange re-insurance processing in line with the company’ facilities
  • Oversee all escalated Credit control premium collections
  • Liaise with brokers and direct clients to ensure they receive the best service
  • Liaise with branch offices world-wide to ensure policy administration is completed efficiently and continuously in line with global standards
  • Manage a team of Underwriting Assistants
  • Liaise with brokers and direct clients to ensure they receive the best service and queries are resolved accurately and timeously
