Title:  Trainer: Investment

Area:  Cape Town


Brief Description:

Constant training on new legislation, ensuring that changes are communicated through to the relevant individuals within the organisation

Relevant Post Graduate Degree





Skills & Experience:

·         Asset management experience preferable, understanding of the  distribution process, 15 years + experience

·         Analytic method to sift through data and create meaning

·         Training proficiency, presenting and facilitation proficiency, ability to do network updates, RDR's and maintaining of ASISA, understanding of the best knowledge resources available i.e.: subscriptions to relevant content


Key Attributes:

·         Training of BDM's on legal and technical aspects

·         Help train IFA's and broker network

·         Together with compliance ensure that regulatory requirements are met

·         Build up and out the Distribution team

·         Maintain distribution library database

·         Build industry network to remain current on leading content

·         Facilitate specific changes to legislation to keep team informed

·         Provide adequate feedback into compliance and other stakeholders

·         Has the ability to facilitate collaboration between banking segments and advisors

·         Monitors opportunities to cross sell

·         Routinely checks the data quality of centralised database

·         Advises on integrated solutions to channels

·         Oversees on compliance matters that need attention

·         Ensures that one is up-to-date on relevant legislation and determines necessary compliant action thereafter

·         Identifies areas in the business where there may be a conflict of interest

·         Bridging the gaps between banking and Account Managers (call on bankers)

·         Conduct research trends and analysis within the market

·         Provide research feedback to the head of retail distribution

·         Identify operating gaps within the team and provide input as to how to resolve

·         Conduct stakeholder management i.e.: ASISA

·         Create, implement and engage a full training process

·         Ensure there is adequate measurement of training outcomes

·         Create new training material as the need arises

·         Stakeholder management through collaborative efforts with marketing team

·         Ensures existing content is updated when necessary
