Job title                              Business Analyst

 

Reporting to                      Digital Delivery Manager

Role :

Mu client  are at an exciting stage of change and a need for a Business Analyst to work on a number of new and BAU projects.

One of the key roles is the replacement of a Business Critical System. The successful candidate has proven experience of working as a BA on a similar high profile project.

The candidate will be focused on process work but would need to be able to understand systems too. 

The Business Analyst they will act as the main person liaising with the business to help shape their requirements, supporting them in creating a project mandate, both being a champion for the user but also helping them understand how to fit what they want to do into the wider Digital Transformation picture.  Therefore, stakeholder management skills must be excellent.

Experience/Skill Set:

5+ years experience as a  Business Analyst

Working as a Business Analyst of a large business critical project

Experience of articulating business problems and translating into functional specifications

Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organisation

Experience as a Business Analyst in the full project life cycle from inception through to completion, including project initiation, process and requirements analysis, testing, and transition to live activities

Demonstrable experience of the use of core business analysis tools and techniques including workshop facilitation, process mapping and requirements elicitation and documentation

Have a thorough understanding of business processes and be able to identify areas for process improvement.

Produce high quality business requirements documentation (such as requirements specifications, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria) and detailed technical requirements specifications (such as data models, ER diagrams, UML models).

Holding requirements gathering sessions, reporting project status

Working closely with the Development and Testing teams to ensure that the requirements are understood and development is aligned.

Qualification

BA/BSc Degree in a relevant subject.

PMI-PBA Certified or equivalent (desirable)
