Our client is an ambitious Luxembourg based SME operating B2B in Benelux and France.  The CFO is looking for an experienced Controller with FP&A experience who will work closely with him in implementing internal controls, developing KPI’s and dashboard reports to enable monitoring of the various business units.

The candidate will be a strong business partner and a key leader in the accounting and finance organization.   Reporting directly to the CFO, you will supervise and interact with the controllers of operational departments, finance & accounting staff, operational and business leaders, executives and internal and external audit, to ensure the organization is optimal in its compliance, reporting and financial management.

The Responsibilities


Develop and lead the controlling function of the entity and ensure that all group internal controls and financial policies are applied and adhered to

Build and deliver robust, structured financial reporting and processes for the operational departments and the entity as a whole, that are well understood and well communicated

Get actively involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, driving performance, and  building plans for the future, as well as managing regular reporting, forecasting, and general planning

Ensure that internal reporting requirements are met (i.e. monthly projects financial follow up delivered on time by operational departments), including thorough understanding of variances to budget and forecast.

Providing leadership to controllers of operational departments to drive best practice and consistent processes.

Identifying and communicating issues to senior management

Appreciation of Group's KPIs and understanding departments KPIs and their impact.

Ensure that the controlling team members are motivated and trained adequately

Improve visibility and importance of finance within the operational departments, ensuring buy-in from all operational areas

Ad hoc projects as required by Executives or group finance.


The Competencies

Around 6-8 years of relevant experience in Finance/Controlling/Accounting, preferably in an industrial environment

Uiversity background (Finance, Business Administration).

IFRS + ideally Lux GAAP knowledge

Advanced MS Office user, with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics an advantage

Ideal candidate will be creative and analytical problem solver

Perfect command of French and English, with German being a definite plus.

Hands-on, assertive with ability to influence at all levels

Capacity to work independently on own initiative

Stress resistant, team player, proactive, results-oriented
