In this position, the Tax Manager will coordinate the company Income and Indirect Taxes. The Tax Manager will prepare or coordinate the preparation of tax filings and be responsible for accounting for some Latin American countries
•Act as the main point of contact for Latin American income and indirect taxes matters.
•Coordinate and monitor Latin American income and indirect tax compliance processes.
•Prepare or review (depending on the country) corporate income tax and withholding tax returns and monitor tax payments.
•Prepare or review (depending on the country) indirect tax returns and accounting for indirect taxes.
•Prepare or review (depending on the country) income tax provisions for LATAM countries.
•Ensuring all returns, payments, reconciliations, assessments, and notices are timely addressed
•Building and maintaining good working relationships with tax authority personnel.
•Coordinate income tax audits, including advocacy of the company’s international tax positions with governmental bodies.
•Manage and support legal entity restructuring activities in LATAM.
•Review or compute intercompany transactions and provide intercompany documentation for entities in LATAM.
•Manage and liaise with outside tax consultants.
•Manage and mentor tax team member(s) in LATAM.
•Bachelor’s Degree required, BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred.
•5+ years of experience with corporate income Tax.
•Proven experience in managing and developing a regional tax team.
•Experience with a multinational accounting firm or multinational public company.
•Experience with large multinational and/or public companies.
•Income and/or indirect Tax experience.
•Knowledge of various Latin American taxes or expertise in one country’s taxes with a strong desire to expand knowledge of other Latin American countries’ taxes
•Comfort with ambiguity, being flexible, adaptable and resourceful
•Operate within a team environment, including with individuals in various geographic locations.
•90% English Spoken and Written.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel software
•Knowledge of Income G/L systems (Oracle/HFM a plus)
•Experience with OneSource tax return or tax provision software is a plus
