Position            : Assistant Finance Manager

Experience     5-7 years

Location          : Ghatkopar

Work days and Time  : Mon-Sat- 10-7 pm

 

Position Summary

The Finance Manager will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Manager Responsibilities will also include financial risk management. The Financial Controller with his/her acumen will solve the problems associated with Cash flow, Compliance and MIS

 

Principal duties and responsibilities

 

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Ensure Payroll Management
  • Reduce billing cycles from almost 15th of every month to the 5th of every months
  • Reducing interest component by 30-40%
  • Representing the company at various authorities like IT, Service Tax departments etc.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements- high MIS visibility
  • Ensure  Compliances and Statutory reporting’sSupport month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings- PF/ESIC, taxes- GST, Income Tax, TDS etc. in co-ordination with various departments
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls – an ability to integrate sales, recovery process
  • Cash management Additional controller duties as necessary

 

Required Qualification, Skill and experience

                  A CA/Inter-CA degree

                  Proficiency in Activity based accounting, job accounting and Project accounting

                  An analytical and detail oriented mindset

                  Excellent Excel skills

                  Understanding of the software industry and the projects would be an added advantage

                  A high orientation to service industry

                  Proven work experience as a Financial Controller

                  Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

                  Experience in creating financial statements

                  Experience with general ledger functions and month/year end close process

                  High proficiency in using Tally software

                  Good fitness levels to endure long working hours
