Head Marketing - India/Middle East

Job Description

The Marketing Head will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans for the brand in India. The key objectives will be:

1.       To drive relevant footfall to the existing boutiques through strategic brand building as well as tactical initiatives

2.     To grow repeat footfall and business

3.     To activate new boutiques by building brand awareness and brand desirability in those cities, and undertaking tactical initiatives

4.     To plan, organize and execute high jewelry events, in some cases for both Indian and overseas clientele  


We’re looking for a versatile candidate who will partner with internal and external functions to drive the growth of the brand.  The ideal candidate will understand the luxury market and how to develop strategies to drive traffic to the door. In addition, the candidate should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.



  • Develop marketing and public relation strategies to engage potential clientele and gain greater brand presence; ultimately driving qualified traffic to our front door
  • Deploy successful marketing and communications campaigns and own the implementation from ideation to execution
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key media, industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Manage external agencies, partners and vendors
  • Develop media strategy, negotiate rates and placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Create content for press releases and engage external partners to generate publicity
  • Own all event planning from ideation to execution
  • Understand the client on an ongoing basis through CRM data analysis, liaising with the Sales teams and undertaking market research where relevant
  • Create or evaluate opportunities for partnerships, events and advertising on an on-going basis and execute as relevant
  • Interact effectively with internal departments to support marketing and PR objectives. The person will work especially closely with Sales, Digital, Brand Creative and CRM teams.
  • Day-to-day operational needs for product launches and other marketing and communications initiatives (invoice tracking with vendors, artwork coordination, timeline management, press plans, compiling press coverage, etc.). In some cases the individual will be building processes and structure and in other cases, they will be taking forward existing processes.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication and marketing strategies
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate marketing and PR results on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Manage a team of 4-6 Marketing and PR staff
  • Travel within India required



  • 10+ years demonstrable experience in marketing and public relations
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful marketing and public relations campaigns
  • Strong organizational skills, great project manager and keen ability to keep multiple projects on track
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in speaking/acting on behalf of the brand
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be approachable, positive and flexible.  Able to work interactively and proactively with internal and external partners
  • High degree of initiative and independence (not afraid to ask questions, take criticism and lead new initiatives)
  • Professional leadership, judgment and discretion abilities
  • Event planning experience
  • Resourceful and creative problem solver
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing, public relations and the luxury branding
