Head of Product Analytics / Business Intelligence (m/ f/ d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and managers
  • Drive the vision and strategy for product analytics
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and Design leadership to understand the role of Data and how impact can be driven throughout the product development process
  • Help define and build a strong data culture by working cross-functionally with data leadership
  • Be a strong advocate for the team, and represent their needs and challenges with cross-functional leadership
  • Work closely with leadership to answer important questions about customers, products and business
  • Transform the culture internally by enabling cross-functional partners to do more with data
  • Partner closely with the Product leadership team to influence planning and prioritization
  • Deeply understand the business and proactively spot risks and opportunities
  • Create frameworks to analyse the performance of products and Influence change by presenting product insights and recommendations within the organization

Your profile:

  • Degree in quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer science, etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in Analytics role with several years leadership experience
  • Extensive and relevant work experience leading and growing a high-performing Product Analytics team
  • A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key decisions
  • Experience leading and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
  • Strong storyteller and ability to communicate effectively with managers and executives
  • A nuanced understanding of diverse and inclusive hiring practices
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, experience with packages, such as R, MATLAB, etc.
  • Understanding of the growing and changing digital Analytics landscape
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience querying data warehouses
  • Experience using web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel
  • Quantitative modelling using spreadsheet and analytical techniques, including trend analysis, forecasting, and experiment design
  • Data visualization experience using Tableau PowerBI or similar
  • Familiarity with using R/Python and web tracking events
  • Fluent English skills, German skills would be an advantage
