Sales Representative - Romania

Job Description



Our Client is a global leader in producing plastic and paper packaging materials and customised solutions, with  manufacturing facilities in more than 35 countries.

We are looking for a Sales Representative in Romania to be responsible for the expansion of the Company business in Romania and be able to closely work with the East Europe plant located in Hungary.

In order to be successful in this role, Sales Representative needs to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills.

This is a very strong opportunity for a dynamic sales person  (preferably coming from packaging but not limited to it) able to work independently (home office based) while getting full time permanent Employment agreement, within a strongly growing organisation. 

Hungarian language is a must have due to continuous contacts with the plant people. English is also very important as this person will communicate within the international divisions. Romanian speaker is key for the local Clients as well.

 Key Responsibilities

This role will directly report to the existing Country Sales Manager (who is long within the Company) and will have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals (to be set together best candidate will be Employed) 

®                 Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients

®                 Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes and negotiations

®                 Preparing weekly and monthly reports

®                 Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients and coordinating sales efforts

®                 Understanding and promoting company programs

®                 Obtaining a balance of payment from clients

®                 Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders

®                 Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services

®                 Maintaining client records

®                 Answering client questions about terms, products, prices and availability

  Key Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, at minimum
  • Good numerical and logical skills
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Languages skills: Hungarian; Romanian, English  - MUST HAVE !
  • Living within the Romania region: North -Western part is preferred 
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics, a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage
