Service Technician -HVAC

Job Description

Locations: Cluj, Brasov, Sibiu

Our client is a global leader in the production, installation and maintenance of complex heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as the control and control systems of office buildings, industrial halls, shopping centers, hotels.
In Romania they have an old presence and a stable team being expanded at present in the service team in the areas Sibiu, Brasov and Cluj (1 specialist assigned to each area)

Scope & impact of the position on the organization:

The Services Technician services equipment for Company Customers in the country. He/She will be responsible for commissioning, repair, maintenance and upgrade of HVAC Integrated Systems, utilizing knowledge of Air Conditioning theory.

Responsibilities include:


Ø  Performs all designated activities in a safe manner and is accountable for his/her PPE. Complies with company’s safety standards and rules as laid out in the Instruction Manual and office regulation

Ø  Inspects vehicle condition and literatures supplies. Maintain vehicle by keeping record of services manuals, scheduling and completing repairs/maintenance

Ø  Maintains PPE, tools and personal equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ø  Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction :

- Performs commissioning, repairs, maintenance, upgrade and work related to HVAC services

Ø  Prepares for on-site works by anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, tools, and instructions as necessary

Ø  Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location :

- Uses a variety of hand tools, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, IOMs or engineering specifications as required

Ø  Documents work by timely completing paperwork on each job and maintaining required files (paper or electronic – DFSD)

Ø  Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need

Ø  Keeps current on all company products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair

Ø  Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact ; Is able to listen, inform and recommend

Ø  Supports other technicians by providing technical advice and offering guidance

Ø  Participates in Technicians/Services acquisition programs and provide Sales Lead

Ø  Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required

Diploma & Experience: Technical graduate with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning, one or two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (be specific per country)

Skills :

Knowledge of HVAC Principles/EquipmentMust be familiar with the company and various other air conditioning products and have field experience in installation techniques and servicing/repairing HVAC equipment .

Customer Service SkillsMust have excellent customer interaction skills and have the ability to answer questions and resolve customer concerns.

Computer/Software SkillsMust have the ability to use a computer and software (e.g., MS/ Office, Excel, and MS Windows).

HVAC Technical Skills: Must have demonstrated mechanical and electrical ability.

Strong Analytical Skills: Must have the ability to dissect and manipulate data and situations to arrive at the best possible solution.

Listening Skills: Must have the ability to hear (attend to) and interpret communication.

Oral Communication Skills: Must be able to speak clearly, use correct grammar, and project enthusiasm through voice inflection and intonation.

Written Communication Skills: Must be able to write clear, concise reports.

Problem-solving Skills: Must have the ability to resolve situations or matters as they arise.

Interpersonal Skills:  Must demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate clearly with a variety of people and personality styles.
