Job Description

Responsibilities:

Customer Collaboration:

· Builds and maintains a professional relationship with the logistical/supply chain contact of customers

· Customer’s first point of contact for supply chain related topics

· Understands the customer’s internal processes, needs and goals in order to build customer specific action plans for supply chain optimization

Logistical Performance:

· Monitors, evaluates and reports logistical performance of company on customer level internally and towards customers (e.g. service level, timeliness, efficiency, BBD development as well as logistical costs)

· Provides pro-actively analyses of logistical (work)processes and agreements with customers as order patterns, evaluates bottlenecks and signals and advises regarding improvements in processes and procedures, and ensures implementation after approval

· Initiates optimization in cooperation with sales, marketing, other customer supply chain departments

· Signals (possible) delivery issues at customer. Escalates to Customer Care lead or Sales Director in case of long term issues

Strategy:

· Draws and executes logistics customer account development year plan

· Contributes to set up and realize the overall (supply chain) goals of the Customer Supply Chain

Sustainability:

· Signals and initiates improvement opportunities related to our Corporate Social Responsibility

· Propagates the Corporate Social Responsibility goals within their work environment internally and externally

Projects

· Initiates, leads and participates in customer related supply chain optimization (e.g. efficiency, service level improvement, sustainability, market development) projects

· Participates in assigned (supply chain, cross functional) projects (e.g. NPI, NPD, Change controls, improvement) in- and outside the Customer SC

· Participates in improvement projects led by Consumer Dairy’s Excellence department and translate developed standards into local action/deployment plans

· Leads or participates in implementation to set up new supply chains (e.g. implementation of new customer or changes in supply chain footprint like a new customer warehouse) in cooperation with customer logistics specialist.

Networking:

· Builds and maintains a network of relevant internal and/or external logistical customers, partners, (competitor) suppliers, logistical service providers and logistical network organisations

· Cooperates and connects with customer counterparts at sales and marketing organisation

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management within the FMCG sector
  • Knowledge of operational processes of customers
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes of customers
  • Knowledge of cost drivers of own and customers supply chain
  • Knowledge of SAP system
  • Knowledge of MS Office (advanced)
