Assistant PR manager

Job Description

Over 6 years PR related work experience, at least 4 years PR agency or in-house PR experience.
Experienced on PR planning, routine PR work and project execution, event and media management, advertorial and press material management and drafting, celebrity/media/KOL management

PR Plan

  • Assist PR manager to develop Jo Malone London PR yearly and activity plan, develop Jo Malone London PR publicity plan independently according to the marketing & PR calendar
  • Assist PR manager to monitor and analysis fragrance market & media environment, competitor’s new products & PR activities, media trends and key topics, develop monthly analysis report
  • Transform PR objective to KPIs and develop execution plan to achieve

Event Management

  • Assist PR manager to plan La Mer & Jo Malone London PR activities strategically and creatively, from the concept to an execution plan
  • Assist PR manager to handle La Mer & Jo Malone London large scale PR activities (above 80 attendees, including product launch event, party, sponsorship, etc) for both media and event part
  • Independently handle Jo Malone London small/medium scale PR activities with around 60 attendees, such as new counter opening event, formal media visit, etc, including media (pre-approach, RSVP, on-site management, coverage follow-up, etc) & event management (venue, production, F&B, soft deco, etc), the 3rd parties management and logistic
  • Drive the process proactively and manage the execution efficiently and effectively
  • Develop event recap to summarize and present

Media Management

  • Have good understanding on multiple media categories, including traditional and social media (positioning, USP, column, structure, personality, etc)
  • Map and prioritize Jo Malone London media database strategically and keep updating and maintaining
  • Build close relationship with beauty and lifestyle editors, and keep daily contact with them to capture opportunities
  • Maximize Jo Malone London’s PR coverage and ensure exposure ranking by strategically utilizing multiple PR tools, proactive approaching, patient follow-up and relationship enhancement
  • Conduct media education on Jo Malone London brand stories, DNA and products
  • Develop media angles and themes for Jo Malone London each promotion/re-promotion to drive media feature topics and create opportunities
  • Handle Jo Malone London daily media editorial request, media cooperation, etc efficiently
  • Monitor editorial coverage and analysis for improvement
  • Manage related report, such as monthly report, key launch report, etc

Advertorial and Press Material Management

  • Besides seasonal & holiday seeding, assist PR manager to develop 2-3 programs to enhance and maintain relationship with them to keep regular PR exposure and create WOM, such as birthday program, small parties
