Snr Software Test Analyst

Their clients use their software to significantly reduce the time and effort required to customise and generate their high value Word documents and PowerPoint presentations, such as sales proposals and presentations, financial reports, contracts, and advisory reports. ·Relevant IT tertiary qualification

·ISTQB/ISEB certified

·Recognised testing qualification / accreditation and / or training in testing disciplines.

·Minimum 7+ years’ testing experience testing enterprise solutions

·Proven experience in QA Testing (identifying test conditions, creating test plans and test cases / scripts from project documentation)

·Good understanding of STLC and processes

·Good understanding of SDLC and processes

·Good understanding of testing governance

·Experience in managing defects and its life cycle

·Test Documentation skills

·Web based software testing


·Experience with Agile methodology and more specifically of Scrum framework

·Microsoft TFS experience

·Working Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010

·Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2007/2010

·Test Automation experience

·Leadership abilities


·Apply agreed company testing techniques. Test software / system within timeline. Track defects

·Assist with the preparation for other phases of testing, for example user acceptance testing.

·Prepare Test Plans and Test Summary reports as and when required.

·Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately resolved.

·Provide product quality Information.

·Generate test case matrixes

·Test Data Setup

·Plan for manual testing: write, execute manual test cases. Maintain test suits

·Plan for regression testing: write, execute manual regression test cases. Maintain regression test suits

·Plan for automation testing

·Plan for performance testing

·Use structured techniques to solve fundamental problems within one's own work

·Works under the general guidance of Team Leads within the team, with occasional consultation and collaboration

·Provide estimates for test effort required for sprint work / user stories

·Log, prioritize and resolve defects using defect tracking tool

·Communicate defects to rest of team

·Define root cause and preventative actions for production defects

·Provide test progress transparency to rest of team

·Participate in scrum team sessions, including daily stand-ups

·Pro-actively drive continuous improvement in scrum team

·Quality champion in the scrum team
