Job Description

We are currently working with a world renowned retailer who due to growth is looking to recruit a dynamic and driven logistics and inventory manager for their UK HQ based new Portsmouth.

The role will take charge a team here in the UK who will be responsible for the management and development of all activities of the logistics, Spare Part Inventory and Inter site departments. The role will provide leadership and direction to ensure operational productivity and service KPIs are consistently achieved, without compromising high customer service standards. This will need to be a forward thinking individual as you will need to identify opportunities for continuous improvements and added value without compromising service which includes accurate and timely logistic functions, comprehensive Spare Parts Inventory Management and SWAP operations.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will need to hold a logistics, supply chain or similar qualification and have at least 5 years’ experience within a similar management position. Due to the internal customer facing aspects of this position, candidates will need to demonstrate strong communication abilities along with the ability to lead and work within a matrix structured environment.

Due to the nature of the business the ideal individual will be accustomed to working within a complex SKU structure potentially either within a similar retail environment or alternatively within a manufacturing  environment where you have experience managing inventory and materials.
