Job Description
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and optimize the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials to meet operational requirements.
- Plan and oversee logistics operations, including route planning and scheduling of deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Manage relationships with transportation vendors and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Track and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Implement best practices for inventory management and warehouse organization.
- Coordinate with customs agents and freight forwarders to facilitate international shipments.
- Oversee the handling of documentation and customs clearance for import/export activities.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the transportation or delivery of materials to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination.
- Max experience should not be more than 7 years
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing transportation, storage, and distribution activities.
- Proven experience in optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
