Responsibilities:

• Purpose and responsibility of the role of the Automation engineer is to implement Automation Upgrades and services within the processing area as well as standard service products.
• Define control concepts and create functional specifications together with the HQ.
• Support the development of new products and provide comprehensive technical support and service to customers for all automation service products.
• Clarify details internally with other departments and externally with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare, Design, and Implement upgrades on automation systems.
• Edit PLC programs and re-commission (Siemens Simatic S7, TIA Portal, I-Device, TIA openness etc.).
• Prepare the program code base for our plc´s using the existing tools perform in-house tests in collaboration with the IT department (Profinet, Profibus, ASI etc.).
• Commissioning of the conveyor equipment around Russia region.
• Support in the startup phase through to production handover.
• Complete Project Handover and work with sales support and issue resolution.
• Write a site visit report on completion of the work and complete the necessary check sheets and forward promptly to the customer and office.
• Training of customer personnel and own service staff.
• Carry out customer visits in conjunction with technical issues, assisting the local account managers and Service Manager.
• The position requires traveling approximately 50-75% of the time.

Requirements:

• Completed training as master electrical, certified electrical technicians, or college degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in the industrial automation sector.
• Several years of experience in the fields of hardware and software design and commissioning of complex control technical equipment.
• Good knowledge and proven understanding of automation platforms, systems design.
• High experience in automation technology (Simatic S7 and TIA Portal), bus systems (Profinet, Profibus, ASI). Especially in the TIA Portal the applications "I-Device" and “TIA openness”.
• Knowledge of industrial IT & HW, Networks, Routers.
• Safe handling of frequency-controlled drives, preferably components from SEW and Nord.
• High level of understanding in the field of intralogistics, intralogistics systems, and their processes.
• Knowledge of plc communication with overarching IT systems is also required.
• Very good English experience, spoken and written.
• High flexibility and willingness to multi-week missions at customer site´s.
• Native Russian and fluent English language knowledge.
• The ability to work without supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to travel 50-75% of the time.
