As an Assistant Vice President (CSR Fundraising), for one of the prestigious academic institutions in our country, you will play a crucial role in raising funds through engaging with key stakeholders such as corporates, foundations and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). Your primary responsibility will be to focus on the CSR segment in the West/South and North regions, building relationships, and securing funding.
This leadership position reports to the Vice President of CSR & Corporate Relations and the role would be based in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify corporates with significant CSR budgets and foster partnerships to support education, research, innovation, and infrastructure development for the institute.
- Stay up-to-date with notifications from relevant government ministries, particularly the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, that impact CSR.
- Identify and engage with large trusts and foundations to secure funding for scientific and educational initiatives at our institution.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to secure funding for various infrastructure projects, such as laboratories and buildings, with naming rights benefits.
- Facilitate meetings between senior management from our institution and CSR corporates.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of socially relevant projects (SRP) by networking with faculty and staff, and soliciting SRP proposals.
- Organize and conduct CSR-themed networking events, seminars, conferences, or workshops for faculty, potential donors, and existing stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in client-facing roles, with at least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising.
- Proven track record of developing active engagement with senior corporate officials.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
