Marketing Executive Profile
We are looking for a USA based (HQ in the UK) Hybrid passionate, exuberant and dedicated Marketing Executive (in first hand reporting to the Marketing Manager) to be able to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement. Amongst other duties outlined in this specification, the main emphasis of your role will be to help create content for advertising campaigns on social media in order to help the marketing team to promote Our Client's software products and services to prospective and existing customers in the most cost effective and productive manner possible. To be successful, you should keep abreast of the latest SEO techniques and have prior experience of successful advertising campaigns.
Key Objectives
The main focus of the Marketing Executive will be to help improve Our Client's current communication and marketing strategies and seek new opportunities to enhance Our Client's brand awareness and industry profile.
Primary Responsibilities/Activities
- Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
- Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
- Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
- Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
- Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
- Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content.
Other duties:
Website
1 Update Our Client's website regularly as a top level “gatekeeper”, ensuring that all editing to sections is quality controlled and content is audience-focused, accurate and kept up-to-date at all times.
2 Monitor and report on search engine rankings and website hits and develop email and mailshot campaigns in support of business objectives.
Industry Events and Publications
1 Ensure all deadlines for editorial and advertisements are met. Where this activity involves other Our Client's personnel, they should be made aware of completion dates that allow for sufficient time for proof-checking activities before issue to publishers, etc.
2 Effectively plan and co-ordinate attendance at relevant events, such as user forums, conferences, exhibitions and seminars and ensure that all pre-requisites are monitored and dealt with in a timely manner.
3 Document the responsibilities, objectives and required deliverables of all Our Client's personnel involved in any aspect of the above events and ensure these are met.
4 Seek editorial and speaker opportunities for Our Client's personnel and ensure that these are achieved by monitoring deliverables, such as issue of keynote speaker slide sets to conference organisers by their requested date.
5 Monitor current marketing activities (eg, advertising, conferences and seminars, etc) to ensure these activities remain viable and cost effective methods and where they are not, research alternative solutions and provide recommendations, including full costings.
6 Conduct in – depth research on industry related topics in order to develop original content.
Customer Updates
1 Maintain quarterly customer updates and managing the production of marketing materials including leaflets, newsletters and flyers, along with all social media platforms.
2 Explore and recommend various marketing activities that would provide further sales opportunities from existing customer base.
Our Client's Partners
1 Assist in the planning and production of marketing materials that can be easily adapted by Our Clien for use by its partners, ensuring that integrity, quality of branding and a uniform approach is retained (as per distributor/reseller terms) and cross charging is applied, if applicable.
2 Liaise with the marketing counterparts of Our Client's partners to discuss mutually beneficial marketing opportunities and exchange information for inclusion in materials issued to customers (eg, success stories), in relevant publications or white papers on the website.
Research and Development
1 Assist in the development and application of corporate marketing standards, including Our Client's visual identity and house style.
2 Conduct regular market research and obtain relevant and up-to-date information relating to competitors.
4 Maintain a knowledgebase of editorial text and an archive of Our Client's marketing materials, eg, advertisements in publications, which is particularly relevant in the protection of its trademarks.
Internal Awareness
1 Assist and encourage increased marketing awareness and professionalism within Our Client by working with all personnel to both promote uniformity in the application of corporate marketing standards, but also to create meaningful content with internal staff.
Training and Tasks
1 The post holder will be expected to undertake training as necessary to keep abreast of the job and develop their skills.
2 To assist in the implementation of one-off tasks and any other duties as may be allocated from time-to-time.

Skills, Abilities and Attributes
1 Must possess excellent planning and organisational capabilities, be able to successfully manage resources and have the ability to prioritise workloads, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
2 Proven content writing or copywriting skills (a portfolio of published articles would be advantageous)
3. Working knowledge of content management systems
4 Proven experience in analysing and clearly documenting results of market research and competitor information.
5 Must possess excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills. A Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, English, Journalism or related field would be preferable.
6 The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7 Other Skills: computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, DTP packages and ACT for contact/marketing management, competence in HTML and web building/design experience).
