Job Title: Business Analyst – Senior II

we’re looking for a highly experienced Business Analyst – Senior II who can bridge the gap between technology and business needs. This role requires deep analytical capabilities, hands-on experience with tools and methodologies, and the ability to lead and mentor in cross-functional environments. You’ll be working across the full software development lifecycle, acting as a strategic partner to stakeholders and ensuring that every solution aligns with business goals.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role within an IT organization
- Proven experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its various approaches like Scrum, Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall
- Strong involvement in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- Proficiency in UML and BPMN to create and interpret diagrams (use cases, activity, state diagrams)
- Ability to design and understand ER diagrams and perform data mapping
- Hands-on experience with JSON and XML for integrations
- Good understanding of REST and SOAP APIs and ability to interpret API documentation
- Skilled in writing test cases, UAT scenarios, and defect triaging
- Deep domain knowledge in industries such as BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, etc.
- Ability to act as a project lead and take projects through the entire SDLC lifecycle
- Ability to lead and mentor Business Analysis Trainees
- Capable of conducting gap analysis, requirements traceability, and change management
- Experience with user acceptance testing and collaboration with QA teams
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different domains using JIRA
- Advance knowledge of JIRA (burn down, velocity charts), and tools like Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Asana
- Familiarity with collaboration and diagramming tools like Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio, Balsamiq, Miro, Whimsical
- Exposure to wireframing/UI-UX tools such as Adobe XD and Figma
- Testing tools knowledge including TestRail, Zephyr, Browserstack, and Jira QA plugins like Xray
- Awareness of DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and basic containerization concepts
- Understanding of version control tools like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
- Awareness of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway
- Basic understanding of database architecture and tools like MySQL Workbench, ER/Studio, or pgAdmin
- Ability to push creative thinking beyond existing industry practices and client mindsets
- Certifications required: CBAP® (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA® (Professional in Business Analysis)
- PMP® (Project Management Professional) is considered a bonus
