About the job
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team based in Nairobi.

The company is now one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chemical products for the building industry and has contributed to the construction of some of the most important architectural and infrastructural works worldwide.
In this position you will:
- support the team to identify potential key clients and develop strong working relationship in order to obtain upstream information on upcoming projects.
- Actively participate in specialized associations of the industry to promote the company's brand and product package.
- Plan and organize the seminars/workshops to engage the stake holders for presale activities.
- Participate into activities to identify upstream projects and work closely with specifiers (designers, consultants etc.,) in developing solutions into projects.
- Develop specification documents according to product portfolio and customers’ requirements.
- Routinely conduct internal alignments with the sales team to update presale activities to ensure smooth transition of specified projects into sales
- Conduct analysis of market, customers, competition, latest trends including products development and then align with related teams to prepare and capture the potentials.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Commerce or equivalent.
- Min 2 years of relevant experience in construction fields. Good relations with architects, specifiers, designers, contractors is preferred.
- Good understanding on construction industry. Knowledge of branding, products, and investment is preferred.
- Good English and computer skills (Excel & PowerPoint).
