We are seeking an experienced Calypso Functional Consultant with a strong background in Corporate Treasury and Banking domains. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in front-office and back-office modules of Calypso, including Treasury, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Accounting, and Back Office processing. The consultant will play a key role in requirement gathering, configuration documentation, gap analysis, testing, and production support for the Calypso platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Business Users and the technical teams to understand and document functional requirements for Calypso implementations and enhancements.
- Provide expert functional support for Calypso application, covering both Front Office (Treasury, ALM reports) and Back Office (Accounting, Settlements, Confirmations) functionalities.
- Conduct Gap Analysis to identify differences between business requirements and Calypso capabilities.
- Create and maintain Calypso configuration documentation for ongoing support and audit compliance.
- Design and execute Functional Test Plans to ensure requirements are met.
- Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, assisting users, and documenting issues.
- Troubleshoot functional issues in Calypso and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions or automation opportunities to streamline business operations.
- Participate in and support Calypso upgrade projects, validating functional compatibility and regression testing with the latest releases.
- Propose process improvements and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Calypso Functional experience in the Treasury and ALM space.
- Solid understanding of financial instruments (FX, MM, Derivatives, Bonds, etc.) used in Treasury operations.
- Proven experience in Back Office operations – including Accounting workflows, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Strong domain knowledge in Corporate Treasury or Banking environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interactions, especially with business users and SMEs.
- Strong documentation skills with a focus on traceability and compliance.
- Experience with functional testing, defect lifecycle management, and coordinating UAT.
- Ability to identify and recommend improvements in business and system processes.
- Familiarity with Calypso upgrade procedures and compatibility checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automation of repetitive manual processes within Calypso or associated systems.
- Exposure to SQL, XML, or Calypso scripting for basic troubleshooting.
- Understanding of risk, regulatory, and ALM reporting in Calypso.
- Calypso Certification (if available) is a plus.
