Job description:

Have an active role in the daily operations of a specific section of the kitchen & ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation.

Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, maintaining consistency and high standards of presentation.

Manage inventory levels for your section, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, following all health and safety regulations.

Work closely with other kitchen sections and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, including timely delivery of dishes and communication of special requests.

Monitor food costs and portion control within your section, minimizing waste and contributing to budgetary targets.

Strict adherence to the Food Hygiene standards laid out in training.

Committing the upmost attention & important to Site Allergen Procedure

Conduct regular quality checks of food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the required standards before they are sent out.

Oversee your section, including coordinating tasks and managing workflow during peak service periods.

Mentor the Commis Chefs to ensure quality, consistency & that they are following correct spec.

Commit to completion of Online training within 2 weeks of Start date.

Job Requirements: Experience working in a kitchen environment.

Knowledge of kitchen preparation and various dishes and cooking methods.

Sound knowledge of authentic ingredients and substitute ingredients.

Holder of a food handler license.

Verbal and written communication skills in English.

Eye for detail and a passion for food and innovation.

Willing to work on a shift basis in a busy kitchen environment.

Maintain a high level of personal hygiene.

Conforms with hotels grooming standards.
