Job Description
Role of the position:
- Ensuring timely and correct accounting in accordance with Russian accounting and tax legislation as well as corporate financial policies and regulations
- Maintaining statutory accounting and tax records in compliance with Russian legislation, as well as corporate financial policies and regulations
- Interact with the internal and external auditors, tax authorities during audits
- Control over preparation and timely dispatch of financial statements and tax reports as required by the Russian legislation, including financial statements of 2 legal entities and a brunch in the CIS
- Control over preparation and timely submission of tax reports in compliance with US GAAP requirements (FAS 109, FAS 109 projection, Cash Taxes Projection, Statutory P/L projection, GAAP vs RAP reconciliation)
- Development of accounting policies for accounting and taxation purposes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, accounting and tax reporting requirements by finance teams in the head office
- Regularly monitoring accounting and tax legislation to ensure that accounting and reporting are in compliance with statutory requirements and that tax legislation requirements are reflected in accounting, contracts, procedures and advice provided by the company's departments
- Providing expertise on the tax implications of concluding contracts with Russian and foreign counterparties, including contracts for the services of the holding company's group companies Developing recommendations on documenting transactions with counterparties
- Regularly reviewing accounting and tax processes and procedures with a view to streamlining and simplifying them
- Controlling and mitigating tax risks
- Maintaining a corporate chart of accounts
- Acting as an expert in accounting and tax accounting for financial process automation projects
- Coordinate and supervise Intercompany and Treasury teams
- Organise and oversee monthly accounting, reconciliation and closing procedures in compliance with Russian legislation, US GAAP and corporate requirements
- Implementing changes following the comments of internal and external auditors
- Coordinate all matters relating to personnel management, rotation, allocation of responsibilities, create employee development plans
Important:
- University degree in accounting or related disciplines
- Minimum of 7+ years experience as an Accountant in an international company.
- English - from Upper-Intermediate (oral and written).
- Business competence requirements. Knowledge of Russian tax law, US and Russian Accounting Standards, understanding of internal controls. Analytical thinking.
Terms:
- Location: Moscow (almost within the third ring, north). Mode of work: 2 days from the office, 3 days from home (as information is received, the mode will vary)
