Chief Expert in Cyber-Security (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Leading a team composed of researchers and engineers working at the intersection of cyber-security and machine learning. Committing to pursuing research excellence based on strong theoretical foundations with practical applications to make an impact in the industry
• Leading the research and development of core technologies for advanced threat detection, malware detection and threat intelligence
• Leading staff career planning and development. Responsible for team performance management and team development, including supervision and management of researchers, engineers, interns, work students, and industrial PhDs
• Responsible for collaboration with industry, academia and research centers
• Responsible for closely collaborating with Product Teams, e.g., by regularly reporting to sponsors, including progress of research projects and presentation of results

 Requirements

• Master’s or (preferred) PhD’s degree in Computer Science, with specialization in cyber-security and/or in machine learning and with practical experience in industry
• Solid theoretical research and industrial background to guide the research in the cyber-security domain in the context of malware detection, threat intelligence and advanced attacks detection
• Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
• Understand the transformation process of research results in industry. To this end, research experience in both academia and industry would be preferable
• Excellent intercultural communication and coordination skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
