Job: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Investment

As a Chief Financial Officer, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial strategy, operations, and compliance while partnering closely with the CEO and management team to ensure organizational success. Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational direction to the finance and accounting department.

Assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in establishing financial strategic objectives, operating policies, and procedures.

Advise the management team on financial planning, treasury, tax structure planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, portfolio management, and risk analysis.

Develop strong working relationships with banks, investors, auditors, board members, and stakeholders.

Oversee all financial functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, tax, and treasury in accordance with international standards (e.g., IFRS).

Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Oversee the implementation of internal policies.

Drive preparation of financial activities including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and annual auditing.

Interface and coordinate with external auditors.

Lead day-to-day financial operations, disbursements, and account management.

Establish, manage, and maintain analytical tools and financial systems to capture all transactions and generate reports.

Develop and implement cash policies and procedures, ensuring proper authorization, control, monitoring, and classification.

Ensure finance plans and policies are understood and administered by management.

Oversee statutory compliance, registrations, and licenses.

Follow procurement principles and internal procedures covering selection criteria, due diligence, and investment exit methods for portfolio companies.

Assist in defining investment parameters and financial allocation in line with organizational strategy.

Provide guidance to portfolio companies on financial systems and compliance.

Assist in developing financial models for investment valuation.

Provide valuation, negotiation, transaction structuring, and due diligence support.

Oversee all due diligence reports and investment activities.

Stay current on trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

Lead financial management assessments for support providers.

Prepare financial reporting systems including P&L statements, cash flow statements, and asset valuations.

Lead financial and operational forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and management reporting.

Analyze operations and investment results versus approved plans to ensure financial soundness.

Provide insight and guidance on structuring investments and portfolio valuation.
Requirements
-
Graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent.

15+ years of financial experience; 8+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in investments or financial services.

Excellent knowledge of global finance practices and due diligence.

Experience with funds, early-stage investments, and VC/PE frameworks.

Strong skills in accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial policy development.

Proven ability to advise the CEO and Board on financial management, compliance, and resource allocation.

Hands-on approach to financial reporting with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge and experience with capital markets and complex financing arrangements.

Critical thinker with innovative solutions to complex business issues.

Experience with ERP and BI systems to drive improvements.

Thorough understanding of GAAP regulations.

Experience working in multicultural teams and building relationships with partners.

Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset and high tolerance for risk, ambiguity, and change.

CPA, Big 4 audit experience, international M&A exposure, and PE/VC experience are pluses.

Fluent in Arabic and English.
