Climate Protection / Sustainability Climate Protection Manager

 

Tasks and qualifications:

 

You ensure the rollout and further development of the current climate strategy, including the supply chain, and support the achievement of key goals (Scope 1-3) as part of the global sustainability strategy

 

You will actively develop and promote central climate measures and projects

 

The structure, updating and controlling of energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) balances are part of your area of ​​responsibility

 

You are responsible for the greenhouse gas reduction goals and strategy definitions for short, medium and long-term potential for savings and increases in efficiency in all relevant areas

 

You create a catalog of measures to achieve the climate protection goals

 

You will be responsible for reporting and the creation of decision templates as well as the presentation of projects and results in the management committees

 

You keep an eye on international developments and regulatory requirements in the field of climate management and derive necessary measures.

 

You set up a controlling concept and set up reports to check effectiveness

 

You are responsible for monitoring the content of internal energy and greenhouse gas reporting and ensuring the technical framework (e.g., emission factors) and information quality (data analysis, validation, further processing)

 

You are responsible for providing competent advice to internal and external stakeholders and preparing information based on international frameworks (GHG Protocol, TCFD, CDP, GRI)

Your Profil

You have successfully completed a degree in the field of sustainability / environmental management, natural sciences or engineering or in a relevant natural sciences or engineering discipline

 

You have several years of experience in the climate management environment and have gained practical experience in project management and are familiar with the relevant certifications, reporting standards, etc. Further experience with SBTi is advantageous

 

You have an excellent understanding of the most important national and international climate protection agendas and their implementation

 

You have experience in project management

 

You are characterized by a high level of initiative and creative drive, a proactive way of thinking and promote cross-team and cross-network cooperation as well as the development of excellent relationships

 

You communicate confidently in German and English in an international environment

(additional language skills may be available) in order to effectively manage various interest groups internally and externally
