We are looking for a passionate Cloud Engineer for our ITSM Client to support and manage cloud-based systems as part of the global Software team.

Based in Australia and in a semi client interfacing role, this opportunity requires working with clients as a technical specialist, responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing the Marval application and cloud solution, in addition to supporting our on-premise clients.

 

The successful candidate will be able to successfully support and manage our cloud based customers and maintain our cloud infrastructure in accordance with best practices and company security policies. A top-notch cloud engineer should also have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player.

 

The role encompasses a blend of technical skills as part of a project delivery team, with joint responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction through successful delivery of high quality innovative solutions and excellent services.

 

Work Activities & Key Responsibilities:

 

Making recommendations where appropriate to optimise our cloud architecture.

Configuration and support of the Marval application.

Modifying and improving existing systems.

Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.

Maintaining and optimising cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.

Experience with deployment tooling using Octopus Deploy or similar tools.

Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.

Identifying, analysing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.

Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.

Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.

Providing on-premise support of Marval for our Asia-Pacific based customers, as well as overseas customers where applicable.

Implementation of the Marval solution.

 

You will be an excellent communicator, possess excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work collaboratively yet manage your own work and meet deadlines.

Having an eye for detail is critical along with a willingness and flair for working on multiple projects at the same time.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience in Windows Server Administration in an Enterprise Environment

Basic knowledge of MSSQL Server

Experience with a CI/CD platform

Basic knowledge of Azure and/or AWS and the associated services

Prior experience in articulating and conveying technical concepts to a mixed audience

Desirable Qualifications:

ITIL v3 or v4 certification

Good understanding of Active Directory Service

Experience with one or more of the following: Powershell/.Net/Javascript/HTML

Experience with Integration between systems using RESTful API’s

Cloud Certification such as AZ-900

Datalake/NoSQL database skills

Experience with integration platforms is desirable

Knowledge of RPA

Troubleshooting and analytical skills

Proven client facing experience and client management skills, including managing customer expectations to deliver solutions as the successful individual will be expected to work with the customer to understand their requirements, build relationships, manage expectations and advise based on good practice and experience

Working knowledge of project management is desirable!
