Antal International, Iasi office (www.antal.com), an international recruitment agency, on behalf of its CLIENT, is seeking for:
Country Manager/General Manager – based on N-E of Romania
Our client is a successful Romanian company, well-known for its products and services in the field of electrical equipment, metal fabrications and entrepreneurial works.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensures the full management of the company and is responsible for achieving the company's objectives, including P&L;
- Is responsible for optimizing the functioning of relations between COO FEI, COO FIT, COO FEO, Support Director; proposes systemic optimization solutions;
- Periodically monitors and analyzes the main performance indicators of the subordinated structures, and proposes solutions for improvement;
- Coordinates and analyzes the execution of the annual budget (income and expenditure), as well as the investment budget;
- Is responsible for maintaining the company's values & organizational culture;
- Evaluates the directly subordinated management line;
- Has the responsibility to ensure the conditions for preparing the successors of key roles;
- Coordinates human resources systems and policies and approves measures for their correction or adaptation, to ensure the proper functioning and balanced development of the organization;
- Supports innovation and continuous improvement of employees.
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor's degree in economic or technical education (Master in Business Administration (MBA) or Master in Economics (ME) is a plus);
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position (GM, COO);
- Use SIGMA or Kaizen type 6 techniques;
- Coordination of the following departments: production (preferably electrical or metal processing), sales, procurement, general support (Accounting, HR, IT, Legal, Administrative, Process Improvements, MK, etc.);
- Experience working with the agenda and MP at all levels in each of the last 5 years;
- Experience in managing HR processes (evaluation, competence development, harmony, etc.).
It is a plus:
- Running a business/division;
- Coordinating a change management process - within a company or division.
Qualifications / Specializations:
- MS Office knowledge;
- Knowledge of legislation governing the activity of Romanian companies;
- Advanced knowledge of English.

- Has an overview of the business, understands very well the market in which it operates, products, competition, etc. and, in general, has a good understanding of the external context;
- Ability to analyze and synthesize;
