Our client, an important Belgian FINTECH company, is looking for a strong DELIVERY MANAGER
As Delivery Manager you will take a leading role in the roll out of company's product roadmap.
You will join a multidisciplinary team (Product team) and will be in charge of removing all possible obstacles for the product development teams (squads). Your job is to get the teams deliver faster. These obstacles, although often IT development oriented, can be very diverse and touching every aspect of a product: quality, marketing & documentation, infrastructure and environment, team organisation, project management, front-end/back-end, etc.
Main Tasks
- Closely work – day to day- with the product development teams (squads) to remove every possible obstacle (impediments) slowing down their objectives.
- Put in place and maintain Agile best practices (Scrum and SAFe), including ceremonies, backlog management, velocity, planning etc.
- Follow up the roadmap, the timeline, and the dependencies together with the Head of Product.
- Providing oversight of the velocity, deliverables and progress of each team.
- Be an advocate, and support the development squads in the adoption of the application architecture (from the Architecture team) the IT practices (coming from the Technology team) and the specification and documentation practices (coming from the BA team).
- Reactivity and adaptability will be part of your daily challenges, as the Fintech environment is always on the move.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ideally, a minimum of 2 years experience as Scrum Master or Delivery Manager in an IT development environment.
- Agile and Lean expert: proven experience in Agile methodologies like SAFe and Scrum
- Experience in working in a multi-squad/team environment.
- Experience in a product oriented environment, preferably software vendor.
- Good understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Helm charts...)
- Good understanding of relational database management system (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
What makes you stand out
- Experience with .NET ecosystem development technologies (C#, .NET, Visual Studio, LINQ, …) is a plus
- Knowledge (interpreting) of architecture modelling language, like ArchiMate, is a plus
- Knowledge of business process modelling techniques such as BPMN is a plus
- Working experience with API-based micro-service architecture and preferably DDD, is a strong plus
- Knowledge of banking and finance topics is a strong plus
