Our client is looking for Development Support Leader - Industrial Fibers Applications  - Nanotechnologies – Advanced Materials who will be responsible for Management of new product development of carbon nanotube-based products for industrial synthetic / thermoplastic-based fibers applications. (mainly Western & Northern Europe).The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long-term basis. Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.

This position reports to the Head of PD/R&D manager.

The work involves constant communication with key persons of the Group in technical support, R&D and product development divisions in the PRC, Europe and Russia.

Main Missions :

• Management of new product development of carbon nanotube-based products for industrial synthetic / thermoplastic-based fibers applications.
• Management of Product Development tasks and their execution, collaboration with R&D team
• Organising and management of external collaboration studies and projects with customers and partners
• Market and cost analyses of various industrial applications, evaluation of unit economy of new products
• Support and management of new product launch and marketing promotion, education of regional sales team and distributors

Core skills & Experience :

Critical to the success in this work, the company considers the experience and intellectual flexibility of the candidate.

Degree:

• Preferred MS / Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, material or engineering sciences or Equivalent

Hand-on experience:

• + 5 years Professional experience as Technical Specialist/Engineer or Product Development manager in the area of industrial thermoplastic synthetic fibers manufacturing, characterization and applications
• Confident technical, application knowledge and experience in actual industrial manufacturing and testing methods of various thermoplastic based fibers technologies.

• Public Presentation and Project Management skills
• Confident English speaking and writing skills, official corporate languages (German and French would be a plus)
