- Job Purpose
The goal is to develop high-performance, aviation-grade battery technology to help realize the company’s vision of zero-emission air mobility.
5. Key Responsibilities
Responsibility 1: Technical Leadership & Innovation Management
- Full ownership and execution of battery development programs in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Lead all technical aspects including material selection, cell chemistry, battery pack design, and system integration.
- Stay ahead of technological trends in battery research and implement innovations early.
- Responsible for project budget, timelines, and risk management.
- Select and manage strategic supplier partnerships, particularly for battery cells and materials.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, engineering, manufacturing).
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
- Oversee technical documentation including specifications, testing protocols, and validation reports.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and innovation-friendly work environment.
- Represent the company as a thought leader in battery technology at industry events and in publications.
6. Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field – specialization in battery technologies preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in battery development and/or program management.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams or development programs.
- English Language C1
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
- Skills & Competencies
- Extensive experience in battery cell and pack design, testing, and validation.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion, solid-state, or other advanced energy storage systems.
- Expertise in BMS (Battery Management Systems), safety technologies, and regulations.
- Experience in failure analysis, life cycle studies, and battery degradation models.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes and quality assurance in battery systems.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Capable of explaining complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
