Key Responsibilities :
In this role you shall be responsible for understanding and extract significant information from medical Records. Being a Medical coder, you must transform healthcare diagnosis, procedures, medical services, and equipment into universal medical alphanumeric codes. The diagnoses and procedure codes should be coded from Medical Record.Manage a team of Medical coders and meet the client KPIs
• Manage the program for high-quality, timely coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient and outpatient accounts, using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) coding classification systems, to meet billing system requirements
• Work closely with physicians, technicians, insurance companies, and other integral parties to uncover and discuss coding analysis results
• Develop, modify, and execute company policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and may also have organization-wide impact
• Analyze issues where understanding situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Implement strategic policies, while selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining accurate results
Quality Function :
- Develop and implement a unified strategy integrating quality with, process migration, develop plans to meet and development needs of the organization through internal and external stakeholders
- Develop organizational assessment methods and measurement systems to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
Client Communication:
• Assist with the preparation of the client reporting related to quality scores and associated action plans.
• Partners with the business unit to create a comprehensive team to support the clients and the coders.
Required Skills:
- 9+ years Experience in Medical Coding either in Operations or Quality team
- Certified Medical Coder with expertise in
- • Surgery Coding
• Oncology Coding
• E&M
• Ortho Surgery Coding
• General Surgery - The individual would have a high leadership stint in managing medium to Large sized teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must enjoy digging into data and deriving insights
- Should have excellent knowledge of MS-Office, Excel, MIS, Dashboards and Power Point Presentation Skills.
