Duties and responsibilities -

• Drive the operational performance and strategic development of the clinical directorates, including the delivery of high quality patient care, robust clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and delivery of sustainability targets.
• Work with the triumvirate members, other Divisions, Directors of Operations and corporate Directors for driving forward corporate and crosscutting programmes of work and service direction.
• Work closely with the DCC to shape and implement the corporate objectives for the organisation.
• The DDO will have responsibility for the operational management of the division, ensuring the effective implementation of local strategies and the delivery of service objectives within available resources on all sites (across all aspects of the·IMC network) within the remit of the division.
• The DDO is expected to lead on designated IMC wide developments which cross divisions and integrate streamlined services.
• Working closely with the clinical and corporate divisions to ensure safe and effective day to day operations of the organisation are maintained
• Acting independently, taking timely and at times, significant decisions to ensure the operationaldelivery for IMC, driving change and improvement by supporting and influencing the divisions as well as the corporate teams.
• Responsibility for the day to day operational responsiveness within the division
• Lead on major strategic projects for the Chief Operating Officer across the organisation and the system.
• Representing the organisation as required
