Power Conversion Technology Laboratory will play an important role in the Digital Power Business Unit in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as data centers, PV, AC-DC, and DC-DC power supplies.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research and Development Engineer to join our team.
As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for driving the development of novel UPS architecture and converter topologies.
Your expertise in power electronics, converter control, and algorithm development will be essential in shaping the future of our UPS solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power converter research and development, with a focus on UPS or similar applications.
Responsibilities
Support the development of the technology roadmap for the next generation of UPS architecture and converter structures, contributing innovative ideas and insights.
Take the lead in executing research and development activities focused on novel UPS architecture and converter topologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Lead the design process for converter concepts in the R&D laboratories, overseeing the subsequent verification and validation processes to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.
Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities to develop advanced converter designs and control algorithms relevant to power electronic applications in Network Energy.
Generate novel ideas and protect intellectual property through patent filings, ensuring the safeguarding of innovative concepts and solutions.
Support technical communication with European customers, providing expertise and guidance on UPS architecture, converter technologies, and power electronic applications.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in power electronics and UPS technologies, continuously expanding knowledge, and expertise in the field.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, researchers, and project managers, to ensure successful integration of UPS architecture and converter topologies into commercial products.
Requirements
PhD or master’s degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on power converter research and development in the UPS domain.
Profound experience in power electronic converter control and algorithm development, preferably in UPS or similar applications.
Good theoretical understanding of basic power electronic converter principles, multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, and power semiconductor devices, including wide bandgap devices.
Proven track record in new technology development initiatives, innovation, and publications in reputed journals.
High level of self-reliance and an autonomous target-oriented work style, with a "can-do" attitude, eagerness to learn new concepts, and a willingness to think outside the box.
