The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.
We are looking for an Energy Storage Standard Expert to join our team in Nuremberg, Germany.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing energy storage standards and regulations to ensure compliance with national and international regulations.
You will work closely with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to ensure that our energy storage products comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement energy storage standards and regulations in compliance with national and international requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Stay up to date with the latest energy storage standards and regulations and provide guidance to the team.
- Review product designs and test reports to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that products meet required standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to the team and customers on energy storage standards and regulations.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments.
Requirements
- Min. master’s degree in electrical engineering, Energy Technology or related field, PhD being a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing energy storage standards and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international energy storage regulations and standards, f. e. IEC TC120 standards for battery systems and energy storage systems and IEC SC 21A for Secondary cells and batteries
- Familiarity with the IEC standard operation process and a member status of the IEC TC WG Standards Committee would be a plus.
- You must possess the ability to gain insight into industry trends and technology trends in the energy storage field, and the ability to plan energy storage standards.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Fluent in English
- You should also be willing to travel within Europe and internationally.
