The Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.
Digital Power is a business unit that provides Enterprise & Industry customers, products and solutions like clean power generation, transportation electrification, site power facilities, data center facilities, and embedded power. Our purpose is to integrate Digital and Power Electronics technologies to provide customers with high-quality, energy-efficient, green, and low-carbon power electronics products, facilitating their business success.
The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for guiding the insight and strategic planning of algorithm technologies in the digital energy sector, specifically focusing on energy storage.
- As a leader, oversee a team in designing algorithm functions for digital energy storage systems, offering guidance for both software and hardware solutions.
- Define the essential capabilities of device-cloud synergy within the energy storage system, with a primary focus on optimizing performance, minimizing costs, and ensuring security.
- Drive technology development, staying updated on the latest advancements, and maintain the architecture of the digital energy storage system for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Emphasize the continual optimization of system performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.
Requirements
- You hold a Master's degree in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion.
- Experienced professional with a deep understanding of energy storage systems, including extensive knowledge of battery mechanisms, applications in energy storage systems, and microgrid technologies. Possesses a strong foundation in algorithm research and development, demonstrating proficiency in engineering.
- Capable of independently designing and developing cloud-based diagnosis and analysis platforms, as well as big data algorithms specifically tailored for energy storage systems.
- Skilled in multiple programming languages, including Python, Matlab, R, C/C++, and Java, with expertise in mainstream frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe, MXNet, and Scikit-Learn.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, working language; German language skills are a plus
