We are looking for a “General Manager & Chief Industrial Operations Officer” for our client, a major player in the outsourcing (eg. co-packing, filling, bottling...) and global solutions for the beauty and cosmetics industry.
The position is located preferably near one of the production sites in the French country, or in Paris area (offices).
Reporting to the Group's CEO, the “GM - Chief Industrial Operations Officer” will oversee and manage the industrial aspects of the various production sites.
In the context of organic growth but also extremely high pressure due to economic and geopolitical uncertainties, the “GM - Chief Industrial Operations Officer” will be responsible for steering industrial investments and optimizing production sites with the plant managers.
In this respect, the main tasks are as follows
-Define and implement the Group's industrial strategy in liaison with the Group's CEO.
-Study the positioning and performance of the production sites in the subcontracting market for the beauty and cosmetics industry.
-Define the industrial production policy in line with the Group's global strategy
-Manage the performance improvements of the sites in conjunction with the managers of the various sites (capacity, productivity, direct operating costs, indirect operating costs, etc.).
- Improve profitability- Implementing industry standard production
-Propose investment choices concerning production tools, in liaison with the Group's CEO.
-Make industrial organization choices at the global level of the business and manage those at the local level.
-Plan the resources allocation (human, material and economic)
-Manage the key strategic projects: standardization of manufacturing, optimization of the supply chain, new sites.
-Monitor and report to the Group's CEO on the results of his/her activity and performance in financial terms.
- Participate in budget and financial reviews in collaboration with marketing and sales, finance and general management.
- To manage operations and ensure the safety of people, assets and the community.
- To guarantee the conformity of the production site with administrative requirements.
- To produce the volumes and quality required by the market and according to the positioning of Group
- Supervise the quality of products and services sold
Profile required
We are looking for a candidate with a general engineering degree, ideally with postgraduate training in business administration
As the president's true right hand , He/she approaches his/her role as GM as a Profit Centre Manager. He/she has a real appetite for figures and takes decisions accordingly.
At least 8 years' experience in industrial processes in production (CRO/CDMO) or continuous improvement functions on multiple sites, preferably in a medium-sized company or group.
Proven operational experience of at least 5 years in outsourcing, subcontracting (eg. co-packing, filling, bottling...) for the beauty and cosmetics industry (or pharmaceuticals). Knowledge of the market and the competition.
Vision and strategic sense are key to guide the company's industrial strategy. Leadership, persuasiveness, listening skills, open-mindedness, analytical skills and the ability to summarize are prerequisites in order to unite the teams and to successfully carry out the expected improvement projects.Mastering French is mandatory - Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
The position involves approximately 75% travel.
Salary package
180 to 240k€/year (depending on profile and experience) + bonus + company car
