Job Description
Our client is a Global Leader in Roofing Solutions. They are looking for a Group Category Manager Traded Goods reporting to the Group Category Director.
Job location: Luxembourg City (Kirchberg)
Our client's Procurement function is a hybrid organisation consisting of a category management team, based in Luxembourg, and a local team of procurement managers, based across Europe. Now under new leadership, the function has re-organised opening up a number of new Group Category Management opportunities.
The role of Group Category Manager Traded Goods will require you to work cross-functionally in a multi-stakeholder environment. You will develop strong partnerships with the regions to develop and implement group strategies that leverage group requirements and relationships (internal and external) and various strategic levers to achieve competitive advantage for the company.
Knowledge & Skills:
To be considered for this role, you need to hold a Master/Bachelor and solid business understanding and value chain insights in general - based on several years experience within Procurement and/or Sourcing. You will be an outgoing and self driven person who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting your colleagues.
To be successful in this role, we need you to have:

6+ years procurement experience preferably within an international/matrix organisation

Strong sourcing and negotiation experience with a cross-functional collaborative approach

Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present oneself with confidence

Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset and target oriented, continuously looking for improvements

Ability to inspire and motivate others

Good analytical & problem solving skills

Have the ability to interact fluently in English, written and verbal
Other Requirements:

Travel requirements : frequent travel in Europe required (up to 25%)
