Requirements :

• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology – Mechanical / Industrial Production.
• 20 to 25 years’ experience in the field of Steam turbines/relevant field.
• Experience in any Capital Equipment procurement – Compressors, Gas Turbines, Boilers, Large Pumps, etc

Basic Functional Responsibilities :

• Experience of managing procurement activities for Steam Turbines is a must.
• Complete understanding of all critical components – including Casings, Rotors, Blading, bought out equipment like Generator, Lube Oil Systems, Gear Box, etc
• Complete understanding of the machining activities, along with excellent knowledge on supplier base.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, in line with an MNC culture together with soft and analytical skills.

Specific Tasks and Duties :

• Thorough Knowledge in Core Turbine as well as Bought Out Parts for Compressors and Steam turbine.
• Knowledge in sequence of materials required for assembly and ensuring availability of materials as per Assembly requirements.
• Analytical Skills and Problem solving techniques.
• Should have knowledge of handling vendors operating precision equipments.
• Should have knowledge in assembly to challenge.
• Should work in close coordination with Engineering and Quality.
• Should have excellent knowledge on Terms and Conditions.
• Should be able to lead a team.
